Sergey Brin is a computer scientist, internet entrepreneur, and philanthropist.  He co-founded Google with Larry Page.  He is, also, President of Google’s parent company Alphabet Inc.


Sergey Mikhaylovich Brin was born in 1973 in Moscow, Russia, Soviet Union.  In 1978, his parents decided to emigrate to the United States.  The process was difficult, however, in 1979 they were granted their exit visas.  In the United States, Sergey attended Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt, Maryland.  He then attended and later received his Bachelor of Science from the University of Maryland.  He went on to do graduate studies in computer science at Stanford University.  He interned at Wolfram Research.


He had met and became friends with Larry Page at Stanford.  They began working on computers together and began testing search engine designs on the Web.  They shared their search page prototypes with Stanford users.  In 1996, the initial Google site was made available to internet users.  Work with and on Google continued.


Sergey’s philanthropy is on helping to solve the world’s energy and climate problems.  In 2010, he and Larry Page invested in major offshore wind power development. They believe in automobiles with artificial intelligence that require less energy and invest in Tesla Motors.  Sergey and Larry have been nominated for and received accolades.  They have explored and invested in Space Travel as well.  In 2012, Brin became involved with the research and development of the technology of Project Glass.  He is, also, involved with lab-grown meat and kite-energy systems.


Sergey Brin was married from 2007 until 2015.  He and his wife had a son and a daughter.  Anne Wojcicki, his ex-wife, and he also run the Brin Wojcicki Foundation.  In 2013, he had appeared, also, in in the film The Internship.

Tim Ferriss is an author, television/media personality, entrepreneur, and public speaker.  He has written numerous self-help books and is an advisor to multiple companies.  He has appeared on television and is on podcasts.


Timothy Ferriss was born in 1977 in East Hampton, New York.  He graduated from St. Paul’s School in Concord, New Hampshire.  He then attended Princeton University.  He received a degree in East Asain Studies.  He began working at a data storage company before starting his own company.  Tim founded BrainQUICKEN in 2001.  In 2007, his first book, 4-Hour Workweek, was published.  In 2008, he appeared on Trial by Fire on the History Channel.  More books, audiobooks, and work as an angel investor have followed.


The Tim Ferriss Show is his podcast covering a wide variety of topics.  His podcast reaches over 80 million people and has won awards.  Due to his work writing, with companies, and on his podcast, The New Yorker has labeled him this generation’s self-help guru.  After 2012, “The Tim Ferriss Effect” became a popular catchphrase.


Philanthropy is, also, a major part of Tim Ferriss’ life.  He advocates for the public school nonprofit Donors Choose.  He has been awarded for his work.  He is on the advisory board for the nonprofit QuestBridge as well.


Tim Ferriss now lives in San Fransisco, California.  He holds a Guinness World Record for Argentine tango and participates in Chinese kickboxing.  Be inspired!  Have a bright day!

Nick Vujicic is an evangelist, author, and motivational speaker.  He has appeared on film as well.  Nick was born with tetra-amelia syndrome, which results in individuals born without arms and legs.  He does have two small, deformed feet that he uses for many tasks.


Nicholas James Vujicic was born in 1982 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.  The family was active in a local church.  Nick struggled during his childhood and was bullied.  He gained inspiration from reading an article about a man dealing with a severe disability.  Nick then started giving talks at his prayer group.


Nick went on to attend Griffith University.  He graduated with a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a double major in accountancy and financial planning.  He had already begun doing speaking engagements.  In 2005, he founded the organization and ministry Life Without Limbs.  In 2007, he founded the motivational speaking company Attitude is Altitude.  He then starred in the short film The Butterfly Circus.  He was awarded for his performance.


In 2012, he got married.  He and his wife have two sons.  The family lives in California, United States.


Nick has authored over a half dozen books, including Life Without Limits: Inspiration for a Ridiculously Good Life.  He has also produced motivational DVDs.  One, marketed to young people, is No Arms, No Legs, No Worries!

Liz Murray is a motivational speaker.  She is well-known from the story that chronicles her life thus far.  She is the inspirational person that overcame her life’s obstacles to go from homeless to Harvard.


Elizabeth Murray was born in 1980 in the Bronx, New York, New York.  She has an older sister and they lived with her parents during her early childhood.  Both of her parents were addicted to drugs and contracted and later died from AIDS.  Her mother died in 1996, when she was a teenager, and her father left to live in a homeless shelter.  Liz stayed with friends and became committed to her schooling.  In the past, she had attended school intermittedly, but came to realize she needed to take control of her life through schooling. She worked odd jobs and applied to attend Humanities Preparatory Academy.  At school, she became connected with teacher Perry Weiner.  He became her mentor and she graduated high school in two years.  She learned about, applied for, and won a New York Times scholarship.


Liz used her New York Times scholarship to attend Harvard University after her acceptance.  Liz began Harvard in 2000.  She continued to have a relationship with and help her father.  He died of AIDS in 2006.  Liz graduated in 2009 however, she continued to take graduate courses in clinical psychology to become a counselor.  Her sister went to Purchase College and became a special education teacher.


Liz became founder and director of Manifest Living.  In 2003, the television film Homeless to Harvard: The Liz Murray Story was released.  In 2010, Liz published the memoir “Breaking Night”.  Throughout her career, Liz has done speaking engagements, including for Appalachian Women’s Fund, and earned accolades, including being awarded an honorary doctorate of public service.  Be inspired!  Have a bright day!

Peter Diamandis is an engineer, physician, author, and entrepreneur.  He is known for the personal spaceflight industry and has co-founded or worked with multiple corporations and organizations.  Currently, he is the chairman of X Prize Foundation and Singularity University.  He has co-authored Abundance: The Future is Bigger Than You Think and BOLD: How to Go Big, Create Wealth, and Impact the World.


Peter H. Diamandis was born in 1961 in The Bronx, New York, New York.  He was interested in space from an early age and won Estes Rocket Design Competition when he was 12 years old.  In 1979, he graduated from Great Neck North High School.  He went to Hamilton College before transferring to MIT.  In 1983, he graduated with a B.S. in molecular biology. He then went to Harvard University for a medical degree, but returned to MIT for an M.S. in aeronautics and astronautics.  He then returned to Havard and earned his M.D.


While still in school, his career really began.  In 1987, he co-founded International Space University.  He has since been involved with International MicroSpace, Inc., Constellations Communications, X PRIZE Foundation, Zero Gravity Corporation, Angel Technologies Corporation, Space Adventures, Ltd., BlastOff! Corporation, Rocket Racing League, Singularity University, Planetary Resources Inc., and Human Longevity Inc.  He is, also, on the board of Intelius, Cogswell Polytechnical College, and Hyperloop Technologies.


Peter Diamandis has made many notable achievements and earned multiple awards and recognition.  Stephen Hawking is among the numerous people that have thus far been to space thanks in part to Peter Diamandis’ work.  Be inspired!  Have a bright day!

Devon Still is a professional football defensive end in the NFL.  He was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the 2012 NFL Draft.  He publically remained a part of their team until 2014.  Since 2016, he has been part of the Houston Texans NFL team.  Unfortunately, Devon and his daughter Leah have been busy fighting and beating her cancer diagnosis.


Devon J. Still was born in 1989 in Camden, New Jersey.  He lived in Delaware and went to school at Howard High School of Technology in Wilmington, Delaware.  He was a lineman on their football team and captain during his senior year.  That year he was awarded Lineman of the Year.  He, also, played basketball and was on the track team during high school.  He next attended Penn State and played for their Nittany Lions football team from 2008 until 2011.  During his college years, he earned the following accolades: 2008 Big Ten champion, 2011 First-ten All-Big Ten, 2011 Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, and 2011 Consensus All-American.


Devon Still was next drafted by the Bengals in 2012.  While part of the Bengals, Devon was, also, supporting his daughter’s battle with cancer.  The team and their fans supported this personal battle as well.  He was signed by the Texans in 2016.  However, due to a foot injury is on the injured reserve list.


NFL coaches, owners, and fans have supported Leah’s cancer battle.  Money has been raised for pediatric cancer research and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital.  One hundred of Devon’s jerseys were bought and donated to the hospital and a local Boys & Girls Club.  In 2015, it was announced that Leah is now cancer-free.  Devon and Leah were awarded the Jimmy V Award during the 2015 ESPY Awards for their battle against cancer.


Devon Still’s story can inspire those battling cancer or facing difficulties in their personal lives.  Family, love, and connections with others matter!  Be inspired!  Have a bright day!

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge is the wife of Prince William, Duke of Cambridge.  She is commonly known as Princess Kate.  However, she has additional formal names she is known by Royally.  Much like Prince William’s mother, the late Princess Diana, Princess Kate is now recognized for her humanitarianism as well.


Catherine Elizabeth Middleton was born in 1982 in Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading, Berkshire, England.  She attended private schools and boarding schools.  In 2005, she graduated with a degree in the History of Art from the University of St. Andrews.  She had previously met Prince William in 2001.


William and Catherine announced their engagement in 2010.  They married on April 29, 2011.  They have had two children.  Prince George was born in 2013 and Princess Charlotte was born in 2015.  Their births have placed these children on the short list in line for the British crown behind their father to succeed Queen Elizabeth II to the throne.


Duchess Catherine has been active and in the public eye throughout her relationship with Prince William and now during these past years as an active Royal and mother.  In Kind Direct, UNICEF, East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices, and many other charities have been sponsored and supported by Princess Kate.  In 2012, The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry began to reflect Catherine’s contributions.  For their wedding, they had guests contribute to one of 26 charities as their gift.  Issues supported include ones related to the armed forces, art, history, children, the elderly, addiction, and conservation.
